This is a view lot, so views should be impressive both on and off the property. From the master bedroom, two vanishing edges. From the great room, the long axis of the pool. From other rooms, the cool spa / water lounge. To complete this, lots of low, structural plants and ornamental grasses.
Not all views are wonderful. The neighbors have direct views into the landscape that need blocking for privacy, done with a fireplace wall and tall hedges.
We’re using a new workflow, combining CAD drafting and hand drawn overlays to communicate concepts more quickly and keep things looking less finished, since at this point, nothing is set in stone.
This is a screen shot from an iPad – another advantage of this process is that nobody gets stuck for hours behind a desk!
