Recesses and bands from the same pour
Forms and stakes define where the concrete will accept flagstones (the recessed area) and where it will be visible as bands (the raised areas). The stakes will be removed a few hours after the concrete was poured; the forms may stay in place for a few days to allow the concrete to cure and ensure that it doesn’t crack or chip when the forms come out.
