Frosty brown
Fallen mulberry leaves get raked over bare areas to break down over winter. Normally, this would happen quickly since there would be enough rain to keep the leaves moist. This year, however, is dry. No rain for months. Long enough to actually dry the soil to the point where we have to spot water newer plantings.
