The successfull cutting: new roots and leaves

If all goes well, your cuttings will eventually root and grow, typically after a period of several weeks. After planting in a well-drained yet water retentive soil mixture, keep them moist and out of hot, direct sun – but give them bright light. Once you see new growth, be patient, since the cuttings need to develop adequate root systems to sustain themselves under normal garden conditions.
